Make AMERICA FOOD Equal
Food equity, food insecurity, and chronic illness are interconnected issues. Everyone should have equal access to high-quality fresh fruits and vegetables. We collaborate with disadvantaged farmers, community farmers, grocers, and government entities to advocate for fair distribution and purchasing of both domestically grown and imported produce in America.
It all starts with an idea. The concept of "Food as Medicine" has its roots in indigenous populations, who understood the healing power of food long ago. Ironically, these communities now face food insecurity, despite having the knowledge that could help them. By educating policymakers with scientific evidence and data, we can improve laws that impact our food systems.
EDUCATING POLICY MAKERS
Partnering with lawmakers is essential for creating a better America. Food should not be a privilege for the wealthy, nor should it be solely controlled by the government. However, the government has a responsibility to support its citizens during difficult times. Collaborating with the government demonstrates community spirit and embodies the idea of loving your neighbor through action.
Partnering with Lawmakers
When policies are implemented to ensure that all people receive equal quality and quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables from all farmers, we can disperse food equitably and distribute selling power fairly among all farmers.
